Maria Florido and Ruth García Torre both hail from Marbella, but left at a young age to pursue their careers in different parts of the world. Ruth in film art direction in Rome and María headed to London to study fashion.

After over a decade abroad, they returned to their beloved Marbella, each with their respective families. Simultaneously, their professions transitioned into Interior Design and they were both soon enjoying successful individual careers.

 
When they met through a client collaboration, the connection was instant; both sharing the same passion and vision for the industry. The pair viewed this synergy as fateful and agreed to pool their collective resources and ID Latinia was born.

Since this time, almost, 20 years ago, Ruth and Maria are not only business partners, running a very successful interior design studio, but they are also best friends. You can feel it as soon as you walk into their studio. There are always smiles, good music and a coffee on offer… it’s inspiring and contagious. Details matter because after all, interior design is a details business.

The ladies are a great example of successful women in business, having garnered an empathetic understanding of each other’s strengths and weaknesses allowing them to fully support each other through times of stress and difficulty which in turn helps them to appreciate the good times. In this fast paced, ever changing business landscape, women face a wide range of challenges, defying social expectations, balancing work and family life… these two entrepreneurs seemed to have overcome these challenges seamlessly.

Their passion for design and commitment to each other extends to everyone involved in the projects they work on, whether they are large interior design and construction projects, or smaller decoration jobs, ID Latinia is defined as an interior design studio of 100% dedication, enthusiasm and creativity.

Ruth adds “Our workplace is not only an office or a showroom for clients, it is a space that represents our philosophy. We have created an ideal family environment that makes the whole experience fun and stress-free.

Clients trust us with their personal space and we feel it important that they are welcomed into ours.
